My favorite rock band
´Rescate´ rock
Born in the early nineties in the heart of two friends. An American teenager named Jonathan Thompson, Ulysses Eyherabide miguel. Inspired by Anglo-Saxon Christian rock bands, then as Petra, White Heart, M, W Smith, Newsboys, were their referents. They decide to explore a genre hitherto unprecedented in the Spanish music: the rock gospel in Spanish.
They became a space in the streets of San Nicolas, a town north of the province of Buenos Aires unders playing festivals, and also the Rosary, mostly charity concerts.
Thus in 1992, Ion studies recorded "Bridges to mature", an album where Ulysses shares and distributes the task of writing songs with Marcello Mollo.
1996 is a year where Rescue travels around the country and giving memorable concerts in Buenos Aires and other gathering points as on the stage of rude in Mar del Plata.
1997 is a year where in the heart of Rescue born the idea of "crossover" with the popular rock. This is already happening in U.S.A. and Ulysses and his comrades knew of many artists with Christian essence that were very popular and massive, U2, Stevie Wonder, among others.
He had the idea to record and edit independently under a non-Christian label "The hair on the Milk". A record date criticized as "advance" when Christian rock music then.
They paid the price of criticism from a certain part Orthodox Christians who played the disc, perhaps as a way to escape the responsibility of a Christian to spread the message of God.
In 2000, almost like a fresh start, is the year big break Rescue. The new millennium is more united and determined to change the history of Christian music in Latin America. They produce and record "is not a matter of luck", perhaps the first rescue disk mass in America. Daring, go into a casino to be photographed, again defying religious criticism, but out gracefully. "God knows the intents of the heart" express and release an album that takes them to travel in the next two years by more than ten countries in the Americas.
Feeling of gospel music channels, and ranked in the top of radios in Mexico, Colombia, Guatemala, the Rescue not to travel and receive praise and awards for that album. Hits like "Loco", "Let me touch you", now remain songs of worship for his people.
The year 2002 was a great challenge. Rescue came from a great album as "not a matter of luck", and should at least match the expectations they had set the previous record. There is born "Real Love", a revolutionary idea to interpret God's grace on a concept "program of intensive washing. An album very carefully in all its aspects. The picture, sound, production, marking the first time that rescue is put in the hands of producers. There the work of the famous Juan Blas Caballero was more than important.
Luxury Real Love has guests. Mark Mohr Christafari singer of the legendary Abraham Laboriel, and several musicians from the national scene as Guillermo Vadala (Fito Paez), Martin Carrizo (Animal), William Novelli (fly) among others.
Thus the people of Sony Music proposed to rescue the ability to edit them with his sixth film. Last September 2004 launch "a race against the wind", a live album that summarizes the most fresh and powerful of his career. Twenty subjects with three thousand people in a theater in Buenos Aires is a record that more fully reflected in its idea the spirit of this band.
